Welcome to Saved To Serve

I will preach, discuss, and write; but I will constrain none, for faith is a voluntary act. See what I have done. I stood up against the pope, indulgences, and papists, but without violence or tumult. I put forward the word of God; I preached and wrote--this was all I did... GC 190.

Since the General Conference Executive Committee meeting October 5-12, which produced the document titled “Unity in Mission: Procedures in Church Reconciliation” to deal with unions that continued to ordain women as pastors, granting them a one-year grace period in which they were to come in line with the voted policy, there have been further developments that indicate that the North American Division and its various unions have no intention of changing their minds or practices. The North California Conference delegates at the conference’s constituency meeting voted down a motion that had stated that the conference will abide by the General Conference’s voted policy that unions do not have the authorization to ordain women as pastors. The motion read thus: “We now vote to retract the Executive Committee votes of August 22, 2012, and December 3, 2014, in order to be in harmony with the World Church as represented by the General Conference session of July 8, 2015. We will continue to support women in ministry with the exception of issuing a ministerial credential and thus abide by the outcome of the vote of the World Church.”1 There were 297 opposed, and 211 in favor. This means that the North California Conference will continue to rebel against God’s word and the General Conference, by ordaining women as pastors and elders, outright rejecting the offered year of grace that came out of the General Conference Annual Council.

For many, October 31 is a day for festivities such as children knocking on doors, dressing in costumes and asking neighbors for candies and treats. For others it is a day to celebrate the harvest; while still others engage in dark practices of witchcraft and other pagan rituals. While some unsuspecting parents and children engage in the traditions surrounding Halloween, viewing them as harmless pastimes, they are subjecting themselves to demonic influences and spirits. For more on the origin and paganism associated with Halloween and how participants in the holiday are consciously and subconsciously affected, please read The Real Story Behind Christmas, Easter, and Halloween written by Vance Ferrell and be among the millions whose eyes have been opened.

Pope Francis, The Real Winner of the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize

Some people were surprised and disappointed that Pope Francis did not win the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize. For three years in a row, Pope Francis has been a top contender but was not selected. The prize this year was awarded to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos for his efforts to end the civil war going on in the country. “The committee honored Santos ‘for his resolute efforts to bring the country’s more than 50-year-long civil war to an end, a war that has cost the lives of at least 220,000 Colombians and displaced close to 6 million people.’ The prize, it said, ‘should also be seen as a tribute to the Colombian people who, despite great hardships and abuses, have not given up hope of a just peace, and to all the parties who have contributed to the peace process.’”1

UN 2030 Agenda Will Usher in Sunday Law and “Millennium of Peace”

Politicians, educators and thinking men and women of various professions and backgrounds are scrambling about trying to solve the problems facing humanity today such as moral corruption, poverty, pauperism, disease, increasing crime and climate issues. No fear, the United Nations is the mind that thinks for so many and provides “solutions” to address such global issues as mentioned above; and thus becomes the vehicle that puts global initiatives in operation, many times forcing individual nations and citizens of those nations to surrender their fundamental rights and freedoms in exchange for the peace and “common good” of all. The question is, who is the mastermind behind the United Nations? That would be none other than the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, who poses himself as a universal peacemaker and global problem-solver; but under his garb of humility and compassion is concealed the self-seeking motive of world domination and the deadly purpose of annihilating all who would dare stand in his way. It must also be recalled that Pope Francis addressed the United States during his historic visit to the United States in September of 2015 where he appealed for peace and environmental justice. However, he was not the first Pope to address the United Nations, he was the fourth.1 Consider the following verses in Revelation 17. “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb” Revelation 17:12-14.

One controversial issue of the day that is garnering a lot of attention is that of climate change. From politicians to entertainers, religious leaders, athletes and environmentally conscious individuals, the topic of climate change has been brought to the mainstream causing individuals, who otherwise would be indifferent, to show interest and even form opinions regarding climate change. A lot of fear-mongering has been employed by advocates of taking action on climate change, painting global warming as the greatest threat facing humanity today and has even been called a sin by Pope Francis,1 who seems to presently be the greatest champion for saving and caring for the environment. Pope Francis in his encyclical, Laudato Si, and in speeches, has called climate change a man-made, moral problem thus necessitating a moral solution, that solution being mandatory Sunday observance for all people.2 Not only does Pope Francis allege that government-enforced Sunday observance would be the primary component to solve the issue of climate change, but he also asserts that it would greatly benefit the poor and improve family relations.

Beware of “He Said Go Missions Conference.” GC, NAD at War over Voted Policy. Yet Unite on Mission

Concerned Seventh-day Adventists have been carefully following every development leading up to the General Conference’s Annual Council of the Executive Committee, anxiously waiting to see the outcome, with special interest in what would be done to the unions that continued to defy voted General Conference policy by ordaining women to gospel ministry. The possibility of the General Conference taking over the rebellious unions was reported, which would result in the termination of union leaders and a transfer of assets to the General Conference; this option greatly increased interest and passion on both sides regarding this issue. However, the outcome of the meeting was the granting of a one-year grace period designed to bring reconciliation between noncompliant unions and voted denominational policies. While this issue of unions going against church policy in the area of the ordination of women is threatening to splinter the denomination, General Conference President, Ted Wilson sounded hopeful, that in mission, all can be united and reconciled. “‘We will work with diligence to bring a good dialogue and discussion,’ world church president Ted N.C. Wilson said after the vote. ‘The Lord is not going to let this church falter,’ he said. “This church will move ahead with mission.”1 He also stated, ‘we know that God has gifted the Seventh-day Adventist Church for effective global mission through every believer.’” 2

Arturo Sosa: New Jesuit Superior General

Pope Francis, the first admitted Jesuit Pope, has popularized the role of Pope and brought Roman Catholicism to the mainstream with Catholics and non-Catholics alike appreciative of his leadership and contributions in a wide array of areas, not limited to religious issues. This is made apparent by the countless magazines that he has appeared on and the myriad of other politicians, celebrities, CEOS, and scientists, not to mention common people that he has met with and sold his agenda to. Hoping to continue riding the wave of redefining the image of Jesuitism and Roman Catholicism as a whole, a new Superior General of the Society of Jesus (referred to as the Black Pope), Latin-American, Arturo Sosa, has been selected, of whom an article states “whose past curiously mirrors that of the first Jesuit pope.”1 Although weeks of deliberations took place in the selection process, after the former Superior General, Adolfo Nicholas, who has served since 2008, resigned, it was clear from the beginning that a man with the same vision, drive, passion, assertiveness and cunning was needed for the job, and those qualifications were seen in Mr. Sosa.

New UN Secretary General Another Puppet For Pope Francis?

Like a chess match, Satan is moving his agents in key positions and is consolidating his forces for the great and final contest. One of those primary positions which he is seeking to occupy with one of his instrumentalities is Secretary-General of the United Nations. “The United Nations Security Council Thursday formally approved the nomination of former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres to be the next secretary-general. The recommendation now goes to the 193-member UN General Assembly for final ratification… If selected by the membership for the five-year term, he would succeed Ban Ki-moon, a South Korean whose second five-year term ends on December 31.”1 The Roman Catholic Church with its leader, Pope Francis, and members are delighted at the nomination as a Crux News headline reads, “New UN Secretary General could become key Papal ally;”2 this is so because his position on major issues align with that of Pope Francis.

“Expect More and Even Greater Hurricane Matthews If Action Is Not Taken Now On Climate Change”

With the impact and death toll of Hurricane Matthew increasing by the minute, leaving behind a trail of destruction and devastation many are holding their breaths and wondering if it could get any worse. With the death toll in Haiti alone approaching 900, not including the lives lost across the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Cuba and the south eastern coastal region of the United States. In addition to the inestimable loss of lives are the millions of people left without electricity, the irrecoverable property damage incurred and the resulting catastrophic flooding. As the world tries to come to grips with the devastation left behind by Hurricane Matthew, the attention of many is being drawn to the issue of climate change. Calling it the worst and most powerful Atlantic storm in roughly a decade, scientists and meteorologists are saying that nothing can account for such a cataclysmic storm but climate change, and that, if nothing is done to address and significantly slow the pace of climate change, more of the same and even worse than Hurricane Matthew can be expected. A few headlines from prominent media outlets read: “Hurricane Matthew looks a lot like the future of climate change,”1 Hurricane Matthew’s Strength is yet another climate change indicator,”2 and “Did climate change bring Hurricane Matthew, hard to say. But it makes storm surge worse.”3

Obama: Ratification of Paris Climate Deal a “Turning Point” in the History of Nations

At the Paris Climate Conference (COP21) held in December of 2015, 195 countries adopted the unprecedented global, legally binding climate agreement. This agreement outlines a plan of action intended to reduce and eliminate climate change by limiting global warming. The deal was ratified however, in October of 2016. “The European Parliament has backed the ratification of the Paris climate deal, paving the way for the world’s first global agreement…The Paris deal has raced through the UN ratification process in double-quick time. It took eight years to get the previous Kyoto Protocol agreed ‒ and that was nowhere near as comprehensive.”1
